never gained her own. 25 y.ago she became acquainted with Francis DAVIS a traveller then at work at Mr SPEERS a farmer at Clapham (but now a soldier in the Surrey Militia) with whom she has cohabited ever since & has issue 11 ch. by him,
two or whom are now with her namely Fortune & Sarah, both bastards

He does not know where he was born, or where his father's settlement was, for he was a tramper, and died when he was 7. He has not seen his mother for 30 yrs and does not know whether she is alive. He occupied a tenement in Mitcham at rent of
£ 6 11s. a year, and has lived there 15 yrs, but until 3 yrs ago the rent was only £5 15s. About 8 yrs ago he rented a room, unfurnished save for an old bedstead, in Merstham, at 2s. a week, and occupied it for 2 months, but his family remained in
Mitcham. He took it because he vas learning to thatch. He was married about 18 yrs ago at Beddington, and has 9 children at home, Jo. 15 yrs, Wi. 14 yrs, Jos. 10 yrs, Eliz. 8 yrs, Maria 6 yrs, Geo. 5 yrs, Ro. 4 yrs, He. 3 yrs, Mary 18 months. He has
received relief.
