      Albert Wells

  Albert Well's was a travelling man
  He roamed the roads of this land
  Shrivenham, Highworth or maybe Witney
  Albert and his horse was a sight to see
  In time he married a girl called Rose
  It was'nt long before her belly started to grow
  She gave him seven children
  One daughter and six sons
  They still travelled the roads around farringdon
  When harvest came, off he would go
  Picking the hops or sugarbeet hoe
  With money in his pocket and family complete
  Albert was the sort of man you would like to meet
  The children grew up healthy and strong
  Albert taught them all right from wrong
  Time had come to stop travelling around
  So he bought a little piece of ground
  But this was'nt what fate had in store
  And the family were waiting at the hospital door
  Life had ended ,his family left
  Albert Wells was one of the best
